“Strengthening of Pre-service Teacher Education in Myanmar” (STEM): Curriculum and pedagogy review and development"
United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:
Through the “Strengthening of Pre-service Teacher Education in Myanmar” (STEM) project, UNESCO, in close partnership with the Ministry of Education in Myanmar, aims to improve the pre-service teacher education system in Myanmar through policy and institutional capacity development in targeted Education Colleges (ECs). This assignment will, in particular, contribute to strengthening the curriculum and teaching pedagogy and methodology delivered in Education Colleges, working to build the capacity of Education College personnel and Ministry of Education Department of Educational Planning and Training (DEPT) officials. More specifically, the successful organization/firm will:
• Review and pilot updated academic subject, training, and co-curricular courses and bloc teaching experiences on offer in ECs.
• Develop proposals on the structure and schedule for two-year and four-year programmes of initial teacher education at the ECs, including opportunities for practicum teaching.
