Replacement of Ballistics Glass for Windows at UNTSO Observation Posts

The United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) intends to engage the services of a qualified contractor for the replacement of the ballistic glass for the windows at its observation posts (OP): OP51, OP53, OP54, OP55 and OP73 in the Golan Heights. The purpose of the proposed project shall be carried out as per the following: 1. Dismantle, repair and reinstall the ballistic windows at OP51, OP53, OP54, OP55 and OP73. 2. Due to possible accessibility issues, the option of repairing the windows remotely without dismantling and installation works for OP 54 and OP73. The collection and delivery to be at UNTSO compound at Camp Zouani. The work shall be done in accordance with the following steps: a. Carefully dismantle the existing ballistic windows, including their frames, ensuring no damage occurs during the removal process to the metal structure. b. Transport the disassembled windows and frames to the factory for refurbishment. c. Undertake the renovation of the frames, including thorough cleaning, painting, and replacing worn-out rubber components. d. Manufacture new, armored, protective glass to meet the specified security requirements. e. Install the newly produced armored glass into the refurbished frames. f. Return the fully refurbished windows to their designated locations. g. Reinstall the frames with the newly fitted windows, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: 1. Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify contractors that would be interested and eligible to participate in the bidding process when issued. 2. UNTSO reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement during the REOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be invited to participate in the bidding process. Only contractors which in UN's sole discretion are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their REOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents. 3. Companies interested to be invited to participate in the solicitation process are invited to submit their Expression of Interest and to send a copy of the following documents to the email: sayyam@un.org: A. Brief relevant information about the company including the company's profile, capacity/capability and experience. B. Copy of a valid business/trading license. 4. Companies must verify and ensure that they are registered under their full legal name with the UN Secretariat on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). In addition, the desired Companies MUST have working experience in provision of similar goods and services. 5. Note that companies that have previously submitted EOI for similar services with UN must re-submit full documentation as detailed above. 6. UNTSO will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider companies who have expressed their interest by providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill the requirement.
