Re-advertisement – Vendors are required to re-submit their EOI to confirm continued interest This requirement was previously advertised and is now being re-advertised. Interested vendors must re-submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to confirm their interest in the forthcoming solicitation exercise. ************************************************************ The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) ensures efficient and effective peacekeeping operations through its core logistic, geospatial, information and telecommunications technology services. UNGSC is based in Brindisi (Italy) and Valencia (Spain) and follows an active-active redundant model. To perform its operations in a secure and controlled environment, the UNGSC requires the implementation of one single Integrated Access Control System (IACS) to protect, secure and monitor access to its: • Offices and Premises in both locations • Data Centres in both locations • Data Centre cabinets in both locations • Parking area in UNICTF, Valencia. The required services shall include, but are not limited to: a) Removal of existing access control readers and reuse of eligible devices: • The contractor shall remove all existing access control readers that are not compatible with the new Integrated Access Control System (IACS). • Only second-generation readers that are fully compatible with the new Integrated Access Control System (IACS) shall be integrated into the new system. • All other existing readers (non-compatible or first-generation) shall be decommissioned and replaced with new devices supplied under this requirement. b) Provision and installation of new access control readers and sensors, all related hardware, and software. c) Implementation in two phases: • Phase 1: UNICTF, Valencia • Phase 2: UNGSC, Brindisi d) System integration at the two location. Integration testing will be carried out after both installations are complete; e) System configuration; f) Comprehensive warranty covering all parts, labour, software, and hardware supplied; g) Preventive maintenance, on-call technical support, on-site support, and urgent on-site support services for both UNGSC sites (Brindisi and Valencia). System Requirements The IACS solution shall include the following components: 1. Access Control Management Software/Application • Building access control • Rack access control • Parking access control 2. Access Control Hardware • Building access control • Rack access control • Parking access control 3. Installation Services • Building access control • Rack access control • Parking access control Full technical specifications and procurement instructions will be provided in the solicitation document to be issued after the EOI closing date. The non-EU companies participating in the tenders for UNGSC requirements with services/goods delivery to Italy and Spain shall be duly registered and/or in possession of all the requisite documentation, certificates and permits as required to do business in the member countries of the European Union Specific Requirements/Information Vendors with the attributes listed hereunder are strongly encouraged to participate: (a) Disability inclusive, (b) Demonstrated goal to achieve gender equality (c) Having status as a woman-owned business (d) From developing countries, countries with economies in transition and least developed countries. To express interest, vendors must be registered with the UN Secretariat via the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) at a minimum of the Basic Level. Vendors not registered with the UN Secretariat via UNGM will be ineligible to participate in the subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP) stage. This REOI does not constitute a solicitation. The UNGSC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the REOI and solicitation process.
