Assignment Objective
The objective of this assignment is to provide the Social Security Corporation (SSC) with practical, action-oriented recommendations to understand the distributional effects of proposed system enhancements. The goal is to support SSC in assessing the best way forward in ensuring a resilient, inclusive and sustainable social security system that is more responsive to the realities of Jordan’s evolving labour market, more relevant to workers’ and employers’ needs, and more effective in supporting social protection objectives under the Estidama++ programme.
The assignment will supporting practical, evidence-based recommendations through additional evidence around the distributional impacts on segments of the workforce. The analysis will help prioritise enhancements based on equity considerations—ultimately contributing to a stronger and more attractive social insurance system for workers and employers alike.
