Description

The purpose of Integrating body camera data with the Situation Center of the Customs Service and the ASYCUDA customs management system is to enhance transparency, operational oversight, and risk-based decision-making at border checkpoints. The solution will enable the automatic transfer, secure storage, visualization, and analysis of video recordings from field-deployed body cameras. By linking these data streams to ASYCUDA’s risk management module, the system will support real-time monitoring, flagging of irregular events, and improved integrity of customs operations.

The integration will allow the Customs Service to:

  • document interactions at border posts and enhance accountability
  • securely archive video data with metadata for traceability
  • filter and review footage by officer, date, or location
  • transfer event metadata to ASYCUDA for automated risk analysis
  • train officers and analysts in using the new platform
  • maintain full control over system updates, backups, and user access
  • strengthen public trust through evidence-based oversight of frontline customs staff

This initiative is implemented under the UNDP Border Management project and supports the Government of Tajikistan’s broader digitalization agenda and commitment to human security and anti-corruption.
