Description

The proposed project objectives.
For Bangladesh, the objective is to improve understanding of local dengue transmission dynamics and the factors influencing the spread of dengue, using available country-specific data. Additionally, the project aims to develop models that generate data-driven forecasts to support policymakers in crafting evidence-based response strategies, including vector control, risk communication and potentially vaccination strategies. The project also aims to build local expertise in this area in conducting data analysis and forecasting to address dengue-related challenges.
For Sri Lanka, the focus will be on ensuring sustainability and strengthening the country’s capacity to independently utilize the models, building on previous efforts to build the country-specific model, to inform decision-making for dengue control and response.
