New clarification added: Dear Bidder Please find answers to clarification below: Q1 We would like to clarify the following questions:The coiled PE pipes are 100 meters per roll, which have a large volume. Can straight pipes be used instead?Ans - Please adhere to the clearly specified dimensions and lengths of polyethylene pipes in the specifications, price quotation of quantities, and technical questionnaire. Is a length of 5.8 meters feasible for UPVC pipes? Is it suitable for container shipping?Ans - Please adhere to the clearly specified dimensions and lengths of polyethylene pipes in the specifications, price quotation of quantities, and technical questionnaire. The UPVC tender documents specify German and British standards. Is it acceptable to implement equivalent international standards (e.g., ISO 1452)?Ans - Please adhere to the clearly specified dimensions and lengths of polyethylene pipes in the specifications, price quotation of quantities, and technical questionnaire. The DIN 8062 standard for UPVC pipes does not include the description of "CLASS 4". The tender requires a pressure rating of PN10, but the final requirement for 200mm pipes is a wall thickness of not less than 9.6mm. However, the specification of 200*9.6mm already corresponds to a PN12 pressure rating, and 160*7.7mm also corresponds to PN12. Should the quotation be based on wall thickness or the pressure rating of PN10?Ans - Please adhere to the clearly specified standards of pipes in the specifications, price quotation , and technical questionnaire. If both a pressure rating (i.e. PN10) and a minimum wall thickness are specified, the offered pipes shall meet the stated wall thickness and pressure rating , regardless of the corresponding pressure class. Q2 We intend to participate in the following tender and we need some clarifications:Is Bid or Performance security required for this tender or not? Please refer to e-sourcing particaluares tab where it mentions this clearly of what is required. Regarding the need for the presence of the local distributor or partner, must this representative be from the water sector or does it not matter where they operate? In our case the representative is part of the generator sector. The meaning of a representative is a business operting in Yemen as mentioned clearly in the e-sourcing criteria tab - under Stage: 3. Qualification criteria - Criteria ''The bidder should have a valid business registration and Tax ID to operate in Yemen. In case of Joint Venture (JV), at least one of the joint venture members must meet it''. Regarding the standards to which the pipes refer: We have our own EN standard which is equivalent to the DIN standard so it is OK, while as regards the American ASTM standards we do not have a European EN equivalent. Can we quote and offer the material that refers to our EN standard? All international standard are accepted if they are equivalent if they are internally reconized.Regarding the quotation, I saw that it is possible to quote partially. Can you quote partially but entire Lots, or can you quote partially even within a Lot by not quoting the material that we do not have?Suppliers are recommanded to quote in lots and the award will be in lots but please review in the particular tab the exception in regards of evaluation method. - Evaluation method details
