Description

UNICEF seeks the services of an entity/firm to provide a critical mass of experienced facilitators located globally able to:

  1. Deliver the following well-established corporate learning and development programs:

  • CBI training (Competency-based interviewing training certification). This program focuses on equipping UNICEF panel members to conduct effective and consistent competency-based interviews and assessment of candidates, in line with UNICEF’s competency framework. The request for facilitation includes both the delivery of the program Train of Trainers (6 days) as well as the 2 day training for staff selected to sit in UNICEF interview panels.

  • MP4R training (Managing Performance for Results). The program objective is to increase managers’ and staff capability to conduct effective performance discussions to impact results. The request for facilitation includes both the delivery of the Train of Trainers (6 days); the 2 day training for staff on a supervisory role; as well as the 1 day training for staff on a supervisee role.

  • PPP training (Program Planning Process). This training aims to improve knowledge of the evolving global context of UNICEF country programming, enhance the skills for applying a systematic approach to the country programming process, and contribute to achieving higher quality programming that fully integrates and applies policies and procedures of the organization. The request for services includes facilitation support to the main planning expert trainer in the delivery of the Train of Trainers (6 days); and the same facilitation support for the 5 day training delivery to staff. For this specific program, a review of content to identify best facilitation methods to maximise participants’ engagement and learning is required.

  • Career development initiative (CDI) workshops. This program includes 4 workshops of one day each as follows:
  • Competency-based interviewing for applicants: This training focuses on how to more effectively manage competency based, phone and Skype interviews.
  • Career transitions: This workshop is specifically designed to manage one’s transition process into other work opportunities and learn how to explore the broader job market.
  • Preparing written applications: This workshop focuses on refining staff’s e-recruitment profile and cover letters to better present their background to future hiring managers.
  • Taking the next step: The objective of this training is to engage in self-reflection, visioning and action planning towards possible change.
  1. Design and/or customise, deliver and evaluate ad-hoc learning and development events within regions for themes like team building, conflict resolution, planning retreats, orientation of new staff, etc.
