DEVELOPMENT OF A PERSONA-BASED SOCIAL PROTECTION GUIDEBOOK AND DIGITAL DASHBOARD FOR PLATFORM WORKERS IN KARNATAKA AND KERALA-PILOT INITIATIVE
Under Project, “Realizing decent work in the platform economy through e-formalization, a terms of reference has been developed for the development of a persona-based social protection guidebook and digital dashboard for platform workers in Karnataka and Kerala pilot initiative
A detailed terms of reference is attached.
The objectives of the study are given below:
- Develop a live, digital dashboard that displaying the scheme compendium for use by respective stakeholders.
- Identify relevant social welfare schemes/initiatives, implemented by different government entities (state level) in Karnataka and Kerala to promote decent work for platform workers.
- Document information on the objectives/rationale, scope, key components, coverage (geographical area and demographic group) & benefits, eligibility criteria, application process, beneficiaries’ documents requirement for accessing (each of the identified) schemes, relevant department for accessing these schemes, funding sources, implementation mechanism.
- Assess the accessibility and effectiveness of the schemes/initiatives in terms of outreach and benefit to the target population. Documentation of good practices (if any)
- Analyze areas of duplication, overlap, or gaps in/ among the existing schemes/initiatives.
