New clarification added: Question: Dears UNOPS Sudan OfficeHope this email finds you doing well,,Question#1: We have noticed in the BOQ that the line items of the following parts:8-Electrical9-Information & Communication Technology (ITC)10-Ventilation and air conditional11-Firefighting Systemare started with the word "installation of.."so we need to make sure that for these items,all materials will be provided by UNOPS and the contractor shall price for the installation cost Only, Are we right?Question#2: We have noticed in the BOQ that under the Electrical works,line item#8-11 "Transformer substation installation" is started with "Supply and installation" do you mean that in this item particularly the contractor shall price for both supply of materials and installation?Question#3: Under part#9.9.1 "Fire Detection Devices"the quantity of the line item#9.9.2 "Optical smoke detector including detector base" is only 1 pcs,while the quantity of line item#9.9.1.3 "Evacuation speaker" is 92 pcs. Are these quantities correct?Question#4: Under the line item#3.3 Brick work under the slab & item#4 Masonry worksthe contractor is requested to provide materials including:red bricks,sand and any other local materials required for the works of the red bricks.Question:the cement will be providing by UNOPS.Question#5: Item#5.1 & Item#5.3 Plaster and Tilling- the contractor requested to provide only sand,cement and tiles will be provide by UNOPS?Dear Bidder, Thank you for your interest in this tender.Answers: Q1: Yes, UNOPS will provide the materials for the items 8, 9, 10, and 11. The contractor shall price for the installation only.Q2: NO. For the transformer UNOPS will provide the material as well and the contractor shall price for the installation only.Q3: Under 9.9.1, the iyem 9.9.1.2 the "optical smoke detectors including detector base" quantity is mistakenly written as 1 the correct quantity is 92. The item number 9.9.1.3 the "Evacuation speaker"quantity is 1. The correction was done on the BoQ.Q4: Yes, the cement will be provided by UNOPS.Q5: Yes, the contractor shall provide only sand. New clarification added: Question:1.There is no item specifying the quantity of backfilling required for the foundations after casting the foundations and short columns?2.Do the concrete quantities in cubic meters include the beams? For example, the suspended slab area in various zones ( A,B,C) is approximately 3,569 square meters after deducting the openings. when the slab thickness is 24 cm, the quantity =856 cubic meters, which matches the quantity stated in the same item(3.2.3.1) in the Bill of Quantities. However, does this quantity exclude the beams?Dear Bidder, Thank you for your interest in this tender.Answers: 1- The quantity of backfilling required above foundations = 2900 cubic meter (These quantities will be the result of the foundations excavation).2- Yes, this quantity excludes the beams, however the BOQ has been amended as well as the tender in the system, so the quantities in cubic meters for beams according to Bill of Materials (Zone A = 102 , Zone B= 42, Zone C =40.5 ) Total Quantities of beams =184.5 cubic meters.Best Regards, UNOPS Sudan Office

New amendment added #1: Dear Bidders, Following the structural engineer's response, please find the updated BoQ. The newly added items, highlighted in yellow, are 2.3 (backfill), 3.2.3.2.1 (additional reinforced concrete item for the beams), 9.9.1.2 (Optical smoke detector including detector base) and 9.9.1.3 (Evacuation speaker). New clarification added: Question: Dear Sir/MadamKindly specify the total height of short columns and ground floor columns.Dear Bidder, Thank you for your interest in this tender. Answer: - Clear height of short columns (from top of footings level to bottom level of suspended slab or drop beam) between 2.3m to 2.86m depends on depth of footing and end of column with suspended slab or drop beam.- Clear height of ground floor columns (from top concrete level of suspended slab to bottom level of ground cover slab or drop beam) between 3.35m to 3.76m depends on end of the column with the ground cover slab or drop beam.Best Regards, UNOPS Sudan Office
