Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is seeking information related to the installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs of 2 units of 250KVA battery bank UPS each, three phase In, three phase Out UPS units, by specialised UPS technicians. The services will be for a period of one year. The routine maintenance check requirements include but are not limited to the following: 1. Supply, install and configure for remote transmission cards for each UPS with the following minimum inputs/ outputs: a) Inputs: Power ON, power OFF, temperature fault in room, transfer to AC bypass status; b) Outputs: Battery fault, UPS load status, inverter fault, charger fault, ventilation fault, low battery warning, load on battery power and general alarm. 2. Carry out quarterly (or as per manufacturer’s recommendation) checks and servicing of each equipment and provide UNON with the details of the servicing done on the equipment. The servicing to include: a) Measurements for battery, voltage, current, power; b) Provide details of all alarms recorded during the period; c) Provide a time stamped status report; d) Address all alarms and reset the alarms; 3. Record and report on any errors on the operation of the UPS units, attend to the errors as per manufacturer’s recommendations; 4. Maintain records on all works carried out on the various units; 5. Advise on end of service life for consumables; 6. Ensure only fully qualified and competent staff are engaged in the works; 7. Advice on programmed maintenance and servicing of units; 8. Advice on required spare parts and replacements for routine running and maintenance; 9. Prepare scheduled dates for major servicing of the various equipment at least two weeks in advance for client coordination and approval; 10. Advice on required stock holding by UNON for proper running and routine maintenance. To provide proof of access to major spares or replacement parts either in stock or at short notice from authorized dealers of the equipment. 11. All safety precautions to be observed when carrying out the servicing works and tests UNON facilities management section in undertaking a fact finding exercise to establish information on the maintenance services required.
