Request for Quotes for online translation of a workshop in two languages: English-Malayalam-English; English-Tamil-English; English-Hindi-English
Dear Madam/Sir,
The ILO project on Safety+Health will be conducting a half-a-day of Training of Trainers (TOT) on Occupational Safety and Health based on ILO’s WIND/WISE Methodology (Virtual) from 09.30 a.m. to 01.30 pm (India Standard Time) on 04th, 5th and 06th October 2023 (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) and the participants are from the trade unions, employers associations, small tea growers associations/tea growers associations and Government Officials from the State of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
In this connection, we request you to provide the translation services for the languages of Malayalam and Tamil.

which implies that the translator(s) has to translate the contents of English language to Tamil/Malayalam for the benefit of the participants from the ILO Officials side who are present online. Conversely any points informed by the participants during the programme should be translated from Tamil/Malayalam to English for ILO Officials for their interpretation and understanding and to further conduct sessions.
The certified/professional translators are expected to be present throughout the session on three days as per the timings mentioned above.
A zoom or MS Team link and a programme schedule and concept note will be shared with the selected translators at a later stage.
Kindly send your quotes on per day calculations for three days. Also the quotes to be provided with base rate and GST rates separately. Then the Project will calculate for three days.
Please also share few samples of recorded online meetings that was supported by your organization for assessing the quality of work (for Tamil and Malayalam languages only).
Please note that this is a competitive process, and the selection will be based on the assessment of obtaining value for money for your services.
ILO will contact the identified service provider to share the bank and other details of the organization for registering in the ILO system for execution of a Purchase Order (PO).
ILO does not provide any advance payment to service providers. Full and final payment will be done upon receipt of the invoice(s) and supporting documents to ILO’s satisfaction after the event.
Please also note that the issue of the RFQ does not imply that the ILO is bound to select Quote(s), and it reserves the right without assigning any reason to:
- reject any or all of the quotes, or
- cancel the whole process; or
- issue another request(s) for identical or similar services
