Expression of Interest (EOI) For Pre-qualification of
Construction/Rehabilitation Contracting Firms
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Syria country office is planning to implement multiple rehabilitation projects in all the governorates of Syria. To continue with this task, UNICEF is seeking for reputable National/international Construction Firms to perform the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance works on behalf of UNICEF. National / International construction firms with their partners (Joint ventures, if any) duly registered are invited to submit the required documentation as per the EOI terms of reference and its annexes.
The expected services from the construction contracting firms include, but not limited to, the following:
- Construction of small new buildings.
- Rehabilitation of Existing facilities/buildings in various scales.
- Conduct required maintenance for operational buildings.
The types of projects include but not limited to:
- Schools and Educational Facilities.
- Health Centers and Storages.
- Water and sanitation networks, pump stations, water treatment station.
- Toilets and latrine units.
- Offices and administrative buildings.
The interested construction firms/contractors categorized in the above fields as per the governmental classification, are requested to submit Application for Prequalification (AFP) through UNICEF’s secure email [syria_supply@unicef.org] with all documents needed in the AFP following the EOI exercise instructions. Contractors will be evaluated based on presented documents and physical verifications of the submitted portfolio according to the criteria set forth in the ToR.

- AFP received after closing date/time will be rejected
Please note the following:
- UNICEF does not deal with service providers who are non-compliant with the National Labor Laws and Regulations and with those who do not abide to ethical standards related to child Labor and landmines.
- UNICEF payment terms are after delivery and implementation according to contract deliverables.
- UNICEF prefers to engage with the companies who have previous working experience in the subject matter.
- Upon receipt and review of the documents, UNICEF officials might visit the premises of the suppliers/contractors who have submitted complete documentation and who were found meeting UNICEF’s criteria of this exercise before considering them as contractors.
