Description
United Nations Procurement Division on behalf of the Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Center located at the United Nations Logistics Base (UNLB-GSC) in Brindis, Italy is seeking the services of a geospatial service provider with experience in delivering vector data extracted from satellite imagery in the standard Multinational Geospatial Coproduction Program (MGCP) format.
The GIS center, as part of the Department of Field Support's Global Service Center (GSC), strives to provide high quality geospatial information to Peacekeeping (PK) operations, Special Political Missions and other UN agencies. In this perspective, the GIS Center intends to establish a contract for the provision of geospatial services to extract topographic features and information based on satellite or aerial image interpretation. The desired outputs are up to date 1:50,000 scale, as well as 1:100,000 scale vector databases that meet the MGCP high quality and accuracy standards.
