New clarification added: Dear Bidder;Greetings from UNOPS Ethiopia! We hereby extend our gratefulness for your interest on the captioned ITB and request for clarification. Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:a) Is it possible for extesnion of project completion time as items are imported from abroad? All goods can be imported via air except soalr batteries.b) Can payment be made in foreign currency directly to our supplier?Clarification: The project delivery time is tied to other project time lines. As a result it is not possible to extend required project time frame. Currency of payment is Ethiopan Birr for winning Ethiopian company.

New clarification added: Dear Bidder;Greetings from UNOPS Ethiopia! We hereby extend our gratefulness for your interest on the captioned ITB and request for clarification. Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:Requirement: Bidder Should submit renewed Business License for 2021 GC (2013 EC) and Tax Registration/VAT Certificate(s); Please confirm that this opportunity is open to Ethiopian firms only.Clarification: The competition is open, where companies abroad can apply attaching their respective license from their host countries so long as they accept the terms of the ITB & fulfill the requirements put in THE CRITERIA TAB OF ESOURCING. Bidders work plan is required to include the way of delivering the work i.e. a certified solar company located in Ethiopia needs to be paired with biddering foreign companies to handle installation, testing & after sales services.With Best Regards,

Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:egarding the bid currency, you required is in ETB. So we want to know if bidders outside of Ethiopia can submit a offer? If yes, when we get award, but we couldn't receive the payment in ETB, we have agent in Ethiopia, kindly clarify can our agent in Ethiopia receive the payment on our behalf in ETB?Clarification: The competition is open, where companies abroad can apply for it so long as they accept the terms of the ITB & fulfill the requirements put in THE CRITERIA TAB OF ESOURCING. Bidders work plan is required to include the way of delivering the work i.e. a certified solar company located in Ethiopia needs to be paired with biddering foreign companies to handle installation, testing & after sales services. Payment will be paid to the entity contracted or its legal delegate. UNOPS will seek advice from the legal team about appropriate procedures and how to delegate other companies to collect payment on half of the contracted vendor.With Best Regards,
