PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) Software Supply and Installation

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia seeks a qualified contractor with valid licenses to express their interest to install and operate on a PACS software which helps to integrate the DICOM compatible modalities in a platform. The United Nations Health Care Centre (UNHCC) of UNECA is equipped with X-Ray Imaging Equipment, Computerized Radiography System, Digital Mammography Machine, Ultrasound Equipment, and Digital Dental Panoramic Equipment that are DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) compatible, operating at a standalone and scattered workstation. There is a need to install and operate on a PACS software which helps to integrate the DICOM compatible modalities in a platform that will help UNHCC in benefiting from the advantages of having one such system. The PACS System should be compatible with DICOM Software and able to support the following: o All DICOM compatible equipment and software with option for expansion when required o Computerized Radiography System with its backup o Digital Mammography System o 3D Ultrasound Equipment o Digital Dental X-Ray o Should be able to support at least five concurrent reporting users in radiology unit o Should be able to support at least twenty concurrent viewing users that are requisitioners of different modalities o The system should be supported by local agents with trained biomedical engineers with experience in the system with capacity to install, train users, upgrade the system whenever necessary, troubleshoot or maintain the system with a reasonable time. o Response time for local support should be within 24 Hrs after service call o The local agent shall be responsible for installation that demand networking, testing of the system, training of both viewing users and reporting users. o System requirement * Server - RAM not less than 16 GB - HDD at least 8TB - Windows server 2008 or latest o System should be able to work with in the ECA AD Configured Local Area Network, more preferably on Server-client based setup o Warranty of one year or more
