Description
The African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from fully qualified companies wishing to be considered for inclusion in a tender for the dismantling and decommissioning of guyed wired and self-supporting communication towers at various locations in Darfur, Sudan. An indication of the locations are as follows:

- Kass - Labado - Um Barru
- El Fasher - Tulus - Graida

- Shangel Tobay - Ed Al Fusan - Foro Baranga
- Habila - Mukjar - Gulu
- Melit - Kabkabiya - Buram
- Umkadada - Tine - Malha
- Tawila - Saraf Umra - Kass

The requirement includes the provision of services, equipment and material for the dismantling and decommissioning of guy-wired and self-supporting communications towers, however, not limited to the following:
Tower Dismantling and Decommissioning:
• The towers are Rohn Guyed Wire and or Self-supporting and comprise the tower main structure. The dismantling work shall ensure and guarantee the highest safety measures as applicable to standard telecommunications masts/towers works. It shall include the support platforms.
• Dismantle the towers entirely in all the mentioned locations.
• After removing the tower main structure; remove and decommission the concrete foundation underpinning the tower structure at each project site so that the locations where the towers are erected are returned to their natural state.
• Upon completion of the removal of each tower and its appurtenances, inspect and confirm that all parts are complete and report to the UNAMID focal point/Project Manager
• Collect and store all dismantled tower parts in a container at each location or as and when directed by UNAMID (Containers for the storage to be collected from UNAMID Office).
• Ensure the transportation of the containers of the dismantled tower parts and accessories to UNAMID designated point.
• Collect all the debris, rubble resulting from the works and dispose of it according to the local regulations that may apply, outside UNAMID premises.
• Deployment of a qualified Project Manager and Riggers with relevant experience and follow appropriate standards of safety while performing the task at all project sites and execution.
• Ensuring that an English-speaking supervisor(s) are present on the site during the projects execution working hours to provide updates and communicate with UNAMID focal points in the entire duration of the project
The Contractor shall supply all materials to carry out the services and will be also responsible for all the activities related to execution of the works such as, provision of equipment, tools, vehicles, qualified personnel, travel, insurance and any other activity that may be required.
The Contractor shall be able to commence the services no later than five (5) working days from the receipt of the Task Order by the UNAMID.
