Description
The United Nations (UN) is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from qualified vendors that are capable of providing at least five (5) non-combat B7 armoured personnel carriers (APCs) includng after-sale support package to the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS). Brief description of the UN’s requirements is provided below: • APCs shall be brand new and manufactured not earlier than 1 January 2016; • APCs shall have ballistic protection level that meets or exceeds CEN B7 standard; • APCs shall have V-shape monocoque hull construction; • APCs shall have undercarriage protection against improvised explosive device (IED) up to a minimum of 10 Kg. • APCs shall have diesel engines with left hand drive (LHD) configuration; • APCs shall have minimum seating capacity for 10 passengers + 2 crew; and, • APCs shall have easy passenger access (entrance and exit). The UN also requires after-sales support package which shall consist of spare parts maintenance kit, manufacturer’s warranty, special tools and equipment, technical documentation, operation/maintenance training, and technical support. Full details of the requirements shall be provided during the solicitation process. Vendors that are interested in participating in the planned solicitation will be considered only upon submission and compliance of all requirements stated under ‘Specific Requirements’ (on page 2). This request for Expression of Interest (EOI) does not constitute a solicitation. It should also be noted that the UN reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements (including possible increase or decrease in the quantity of vehicles) at any time in the EOI and/or solicitation process.
