ECA wishes to enter into a Long Term Agreement with a qualified vendor for the provision of laundry, dry cleaning, hand wash and alteration services. The Service provider will be responsible to provide laundry, dry cleaning, hand wash and alterations services for UNECA’s staff uniforms and for staff members and their affiliates’ who may use the Contractor’s service for their personal items. For staff Uniforms, the Contractor will be responsible to provide the service for the following items: - Security Uniforms, which include but are not limited to: jackets, rain coats, polo shirts, fire protective trousers, suits, flags, trousers, over coats, vests quilted, sweaters, cover-all (tuta), reflective jackets, shirts, ties, Caps etc. - Clinic Uniforms and Items, which include but are not limited to: gowns, bed sheets, bed covers/bed spreads, pillow cases, large and small woolen blankets, pillows, examination/draw sheets, machine cover clothes, patients’ pyjamas. It is UNECA's intent to establish a Long Term Agreement (LTA) for a period of 5 years with a qualified contractor. Interested firms will be invited to the tender by “Request for Proposal” (RFP) at a later stage. This tender envisages the selection of a single or more contractors to provide the services. Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNGM. Those interested in responding to this invitation but not currently fully registered as vendors with UNGM, are encouraged to register before submission of the bid. In order to be eligible for UN Registration, vendors should declare in writing compliance to the Prerequisite for Eligibility criteria itemized from A-F as contained in the EOI instruction attached.
