Description
1. The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement for Explosive Detection Dogs (EDD) in order to provide an appropriate level of risk mitigation from explosive attack in its compounds. UNAMI intends to enter into a contract for EDD services for an initial period of One year, renewable by an additional two years, one year at a time subject to review and evaluation of service performance and at the discretion of UNAMI.
1.1 The requirement is for the Provision of Explosive Detection Dog Services to cover one gate in Baghdad (Green Zone) for a period of 9 hours per day, 07:00 hours to 16:00 hours, 5 days a week (Sunday through Thursday). The number of vehicles to be checked hourly is between 10 to 15. In addition, the vendor will be required to undertake to provide additional emergency/on call EDD operations beyond the specified time. This response will be available on a 24/7 basis for up to 12 hours per week. Support Services will be provided such as Accommodation, Utilities, Transportation, On duty guard shack/shelter, access to UNAMI/DFAC and during rest periods an environmentally controlled area for free run.
2. The locations are UNAMI Compound in Green Zone (GZ) Baghdad, Iraq.
3. The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Requirement, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to
this EOI and qualify for the tender.
4.0 Please note on the following:
4.1 This REOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal.
4.2 UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities.
4.3 Mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender documents.
4.4 UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
4.5 INTERESTED VENDORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM LEVEL FOR REGISTRATION FOR THIS TENDER IN UNGM IS LEVEL 2, COMPANIES WHICH ARE NOT FULLY REGISTERED IN UNGM FOR LEVEL (2) MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE UPCOMING UNAMI TENDER.
