Description
The United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) solicits Expression of Interest (EOI) from interested, registered and authorized companies for the Provision of Express Courier Services on “as and when required basis”. The contract is expected to be for a period of one year with option to extend for two additional one-year periods.
SCOPE:
The requirement is for the collection and dispatch of aerogrammes, documents, parcels, packages and small cargo/equipment consignments including diplomatic pouch from UNMIS-HQ in Khartoum to destinations worldwide and from UNMIS-HQ in Khartoum to destinations within Sudan on ‘door to door’ basis and diplomatic pouch to be shipped to New York UNHQ on a weekly basis.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Companies interested are expected to have operational web-based and bar-coded computerized tracking system which allows UNMIS and the Consignee to obtain an update on the status of the shipment at any time from the moment of collection until three (3) months after the effective date of delivery.
CONDITIONS:
Vendors interested in participating in the planned solicitation process should forward their EOI, which should be in English Language, to UNMIS by fax, e-mail or hand delivery as indicated below providing the following information/documents:
The company profile including contact details (address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail, etc.).
Copies of the company’s business registration, licenses and certification in providing the stated services.
Proof of financial strength to provide the services.
Provide audited Financial Statements for financial year 2007/2008 and 2008/2009.
Company’s registration number if already registered with UN.
The Company’s major customers for the past 4 years.

It should also be noted that the UNMIS deserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI/or solicitation process. Thus submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
