New amendment added #2: Please note that Amendment 2 consists of revising the Warranty & maintenance requirement in both Section II: Schedule of Requirements and Section III: Returnable Bidding Forms. - Deadline for submission has been extended to be on the 30th of July, 2018All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

New clarification added: 1. Would a front-wheel-drive van be acceptable as the basis for the ambulance if all other requirements are met?UNOPS Reply: Please refer to the required technical specification as minimum requirement for this ITB. 2. Would an ambulance fitted to a cab-chassis be acceptable?UNOPS Reply: As per mentioned in the techincial spscs; Only type II ambulance is accepted. 3. Does the ambulance have to be Manual transmission or it can be substituted with Auto transmission.UNOPS Reply: Please refer to UNOPS minimum technical requirements: Transmission: Heavy Duty 6 speed Auto Gearbox electronically controlled with over drive. internal transmission oil cooler 4. Would you accept box-body type ambulance? UNOPS Reply: As per mentioned in the techincial spscs; Only type II ambulance is accepted. 5.I would like to know if the cars are requested to be supplied with (Vehicles Registrations Plate) or not? UNOPS Reply: Yes, for Iraqi Ministry of Health. 6. Since, the vehicles are going to be supplied to a government's agency, is there a possibility of obtaining a (Tax exemption) when purchasing the vehicles? UNOPS Reply: It will be tax exempted in the beneficiary country (Iraq) only. 7. With reference to the required internal dimensions of the patient cabin, we would like receive your confirmation/ approval, it will be accepted to supply an ambulance without an elevated GRP roof. Since, we can supply a factory OEM vehicle with internal dimensions as per the required specifications without adding a GRP roof.UNOPS Reply: If the vehicles is originaly with high roof within the specs dimensions then it is ok not to add GRP roof...the vehicle specs shall comply with the ITB specs and dimensions. 8. Please is it allow for Advance Payment against bank Guarantee. UNOPS Reply: Pleaes refer to tender Particular as it allows for 20% Advanced payment against Bank Guarantee

New clarification added: Q. 1. If we assume 20% advanced payment is allowed, is it acceptable to make the rest of the payment (80%) through L/C? Thank you. Dear all,UNOPS Reply: UNOPS doesn't issue L/C. Please refer to the payment terms of the this ITB under Particulars Tab. Q. 2. according to Section II: Schedule of Requirements, item No.1, the power of the vehicle should be minimum 250 HP.In our experience, for this kind of Ambulance and for the equipment and performance required, 150 HP should be enough and would allow to participate to this tender also European vehicle manufacturers, since van vehicles with minimum 250 HP are manufactured by American brands.Please, could you kindly confirm if it is possible to change this specification from 250 to 150 HP or not?UNOPS Reply: Please refer to the required techinical sepcefication as minimu requirment for this ITB. Can UNOPS please specify what Ambulance body type is required for this opportunity: Type I, II or III?UNOPS Reply: Body Type IIHaving delivered multiple Transit Ambulances to Iraq in the past, all of which are preforming very well, we request that UNOPS be willing to allow submissions for diesel engines and manual transmissions. This would also allow for more competitive pricing.UNOPS Reply: Please refer to schedule of requirement and provide your bid in substantial compliant terms accordingly. Would UNOPS allow multiple offers, per bidder? For example, could a bidder submit a proposal for both a petrol engine with automatic transmission, as well as one for a diesel engine with a manual transmission? Again, this would allow for more competitive pricing.UNOPS Reply: Please refer to BID particulars as alternative bids is not acceptable.

New clarification added: Q. 1 We, as an International company with history working with UNAMI COMPOUND in Iraq K.R.G and Syria and international institute charities, would like to participate in I.T.B no,2018/4849 33 ambulances for Iraq UNOPS Reply: Refer to required technical specification in order to submit 100% substantial compliant bid.Q. 2.Does supplier have to provide local after-sales service in Baghdad as well? Or just need to provide optional training?UNOPS Reply: Local after sales services in Iraq is required. You can get into Joint Venture with local supplier to provide mentioned services.Q.3. Can you please advise if the delivery can be made to your nearest depot in the county of JORDAN or KUWAIT or SAUDI ARABIA instead of IRAQ?UNOPS Reply: Delivery requirement has to be in according to the ITB INCOTERM and place of delivery. UNOPS will not accept any deviation.
