Construction of creche and playground at UNICEF Office premises in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
UNICEF Sierra Leone has its Country office at New England in Freetown. Where about 100 staff members work from. Given the growing need for creation of inclusive work environments, it has become pertinent to create a Crèche and playground for nursing mothers. Serious traffic in Freetown makes it very difficult for nursing mothers to go home for breastfeeding of their children and come back to work in good time, hence, the need to create the Crèche.
To reduce the cost for creation of this crèche it has been decided that two existing prefabs will be converted into this crèche and playground. The two prefabs which are currently being occupied by the Logistics Specialist and Construction Officer are the ones that have been earmarked for this re-conversion.
