New clarification added: Question (1): Due to the public holidays Eid ul-Fitr we are having problems in getting quotes for the local shipment of the goods. In view of that we kindly request that:1. We will be allowed to quote FCA Eden port, or2. Postpone the submission date until business is resumed to the original submission date, June 28Answer: We are sorry; you cannot quote FCA Aden Port, and we cannot extend the offer submission as the case is emergency.

New clarification added: Question: In your tender document the motified empty weight is 150kg, but your clarification on 13 June said that 130kg will also be accepted, which one is right ?Answer: Both of them are accepted (Empty weight 150 kg (+/- 15%))

New clarification added: Question 1: We are sure that you are all doing your best to provide your customer with the right product that they need, and we will be happy to do the same. Regrettably, some of the Technical specifications are not clear and all answers provided so far did not help.We kindly request your assistance and clarifications about the following issues: 1.1. What is the requested Thickness of the metal?Answer: 3mm (please refer to the tender documents)1.2. What is the requested weight?Answer: 150KG for empty container AND 800kg for full load (please refer to the tender documents)1.3. Is there a need for lead and what type?Answer: Not requested (please refer to the tender documents)Question 2: Is it correct that you want the bins first hot-dip galvanized and painted? Or do you mean hot-dip galvanized or painted?Answer: Galvanized sheets and painted after getting the color and logo request from the local authority (please refer to the tender documents)

New clarification added: Question 1: The specifications of the requested Bins are still unclear for us, Please confirm that bins must be provided WITHOUT lids. Please also confirm that, although the max weight accepted for the empty bins is 130kg, the sheet thickness must be 3mm.Answer: With regards to your question about lids please refer to tender documents, and for the empty waste bins weight 130KG is accepted Question 2: We have all products of thickness 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm, the price is totally different, you prefer to which one?Answer: Please refer to tender documents Question 3: Can you please clarify if you want the bin hot-dip galvanized (means galvanized after welding) or do you want the bin manufactured out of pre galvanized sheets (means welding of galvanized sheets)?Answer: it’s preferred galvanized after welding

New clarification added: Please note the below raised questions and our official responses in connection to the Request for Quotation, ref. RFQ/2018/4560: Question 1: can you please let us know the dimension of the waste container the length and width just to make sure we offer the correct one?Answer: Standard dimension Question 2: We will appreciate your clarification on the following: “What about the cover of the waste bins, you did not mention any specifications for itAnswer: Not requested as per the tender documents (not needed)”.Our question - does that mean that no Cover is requested for the waste bin?Answer: Cover is not requested. Question 3: Please advise us on the color that you would choose, will the logo be printed on engraved?Answer: The color is not known yet. This will be decided once the contract is awarded and the winner will be instructed according. Question 4: The amendments and clarifications dated: 7th, 8th and 10th June are confusion, and thus we request you to restate the requirement carefully, as these parameters have significant effect on the costing and bid.(Please understand that your requirement of 3mm thickness for a 1100 liter waste bin with a carrying capacity of 800kgs is a deviation from the GCC standards, and thus our repeated requests to clarify, note that as per EN and GCC standards - 1100 liters of municipal waste will weigh not more than 500 kgs) Thus, on behalf of all bidders, we request you to please clarify clearly the following:1. Question 2: Are you sure that the steel thickness is 3mm?Answer: Yes, as per the local standard.Question 3: What about the cover of the waste bins, you did not mention any specifications for it!Answer: Not requested as per the tender documents (not needed). Question 4: Could you please provide us the outer Size / Dimension of the Metal Waste Bin?Answer: Please refer to the tender documents. So, I request you to amend the RFQ - make - Empty weight of the Metal waste container to 260 kgs. (which as of now has been restricted to 130kgs).Answer: Thanks for your comment, however, please note that an empty container of 260 KG is going to be extremely difficult to handle and move by the municipality labor. This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.Thank you.

New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please note the below raised questions and our official responses in connection to the Request for Quotation, ref. RFQ/2018/4560: Question 1: you can provide reference pictures for the requested items.Answer: The containers required are based on intentional Standard, and you can find relevant pictures in the internet based on our specifications. Question 2: As for metal the waste containers, kindly provide reference photos or better – reference drawings?Answer: The containers required are based on intentional Standard, and you can find relevant pictures in the internet based on our specifications.Question 3: Regarding "Clarification on the Bin lift types", please provide more details regarding:a. Trunnion lift: The bin is lifted via its side mounted trunnions. What are Trunnions? b. Comb lift: The bin lift features a hydraulic comb lift which clamps along the edge of the bin using a comb clamp?Answer: a. Trunnions are pins on the sides of the waste containers that support lifting the containers for unloading to the truck. Trunnions are international waste containers standards; you can find more info in the internet.b. Comb lift is exactly like you mentioned and it’s one of the international waste containers standards. Question 4: This tender mentioned 3 different surface handling: galvanized, hot dip galvanized & powder coating. Do we need to quote all options or just one of them? Answer: For the body of the containers, we need the bins to be galvanized sheet with painting. As for the warranty section, it was only a clarification for bidders if they will quote the other options which are the powder coating or hot dip galvanized. However, the bidder can quote for all the options if they like to. Question 5: According to your request we would like to ask for the exact address for deliveries of the products. This to quote the right logistics?Answer: for Sana’a city, delivery is to the general department of cleaning yard at 60 M road Attan area. For Aden city, the central workshop for Aden Cleaning an Improvement Equipment - Dar Sad district (please refer to the schedule of requirement). Question 6: Please can you assist with a picture of the product; what shape would you prefer?Answer: Please refer to our answer to question 1 in this clarification. Question 7: from our experience, a CBM of 1.1 at 1.5mm thickness has a weight of 125Kgs and a carrying capacity of 400 kgs, however, your requirement asks for weight of 130 kgs at a thickness of 3mm for a carrying capacity of 800kgs, this is practically unattainable. Either consider increasing the weight of the CBM or reduce the carrying capacity?Answer: According to our specification, the 800kg is projected as the max weight and in accordance with the waste density in Yemen.Question 8: Could you Please Provide us with Drawings?Answer: Please refer to our answer to question one in this clarification.This shall form part of the official solicitation documents.
