UNOPS is now looking for a suitably qualified and experienced company referred herein as ‘Consultant’, to provide all technical and administrative support, human resources, materials and equipment necessary for the provision of a New Centralized GDF Data Warehouse: System Integration And Evolutionary Maintenance Services hereinafter referred to as ‘Services’.
The list of the required services is detailed in the Section II_Schedule of Requirements uploaded in the "document" section of this RFP

System Integration, can we add rows to include the cost of Corrective Maintenance services, travel cost etc. For Ex. A.8 Corrective Maintenance services, A.9 Travel cost and Onsite Subsistence allowances, etc. Kindly confirm.A68: As per Form C the Corrective Maintenance shall be included in the Total Price offered for the System Integration Service. New clarification added: Q47: As per our understanding the pricing for given contract will be Fixed Cost and not on Time and Material basis. Kindly confirm.A47: We confirm this is a Fixed Cost contract for service A. System Integration Service. Regarding service B. Evolutionary Maintenance the pricing will be made for each request and based on the estimation of the effort and the cost of each profile needed for the specific Professional Services. The Form C: Financial Proposal Form cannot be modified and shall be completed accordingly.Q48: As stated in the Form C: Financial Proposal Form - 'Provision of Professional Services' should be cosnidered for Fixed Cost contract and not for Time Material based service? New clarification added: Q45: In 'RFP_Section_II...' document, page 4 sec 4 A.8, it is mentioned that the Service Provider is required to develop a web-based platform for trouble ticketting. The ambiguity here is whether a tool for ticket management is required or a dashboard to report the tickets is required? Further to this(a) If a tool is required, a different skill-set (Non BI) is required to fulfil the requirement. Please share the expected tool here.(b) If a dashboard is required, what is the ticketing tool used for logging the issues?A45: As specified in the RFP (page 4 sec 4 A.8): “A web based, GDF customized IT platform for trouble ticketing shall be provided / developed by the selected vendor”. This means that the IT platform should be made available to GDF/STB in the context of the System Integration Service provision to raise tickets, track issues, and support project management functions. This tool should also be made available as supporting tool for the Corrective Maintenance Service and Evolutionary Maintenance Service.Q46: To set-up Dev/QA env, following are the dependencies which must fundamentally agree to resolve:(a) Access to all data sources and a sufficient size data dump of all relevant sources - please confirm whether the actual data dump will be shared?(b) Type/format of sources (xls, xml/html, flat-file(del, text quoted), messaging queue etc) - please confirm the number of each source files.(c) Clarity on Data acquisition layer - please confirm whether it is unix or windows?(d) How many new reports are expected to be build?(e) How many existing reports need to be modified based on new WHS solution? (f) Architecture diagram shows MS Analysis Server as existing reporting layer - are there any expectations to move the existing reports to new reporting platform? If yes, please confirm the number of reports.A46: As the central data warehouse is a new project in UNOPS STB/GDF the analysis of points (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) indicated in your question will be part of the activities to be executed in the context of this RFP (cfr. New clarification added: Q36: Are separate development, test and UAT environments required to be deployed for the new BI platform?A36: The development, test and UAT environments required to be deployed for the new BI platform are to be provided by the Service Provider at its best convenience.Q37: Report will pick data from Data Marts, Cubes or DWH? Kindly suggest.A37: It will be an implementation choice based on reporting requirements.Q38: What training is expected (Product Training / Power User Training / Admin Training) as part of the BI implementation?A38: Product training for reporting and models to end user. Any anticipated number of days of support required on weekend/holidays?A43: GDF team members, clients and partners work/travel all over the world in different time zones, all year round, and rely 24/7 on the availability of the CDW and BI tools.Being a new project, no historical data is available and UNOPS cannot give a fair estimate of anticipated number of days of support required.Q44: Can Sample Data from source table will be made available ? Par.4 pag.3 Activity A).Q30: Data processing Frequency: Interactive or Batch or Real time frequency?A30: Data processing frequency for most flows is batch. Some flows however need to be processed “near real time” (cfr. Annex (1): GDF HIGH-LEVEL REQUIREMENTS and specifically GR2).Q31: How is the quality of data from source? Any concerns on data quality of the source systems. If yes, please provide details.A31: There are no specific data quality activities currently performed at data sources level.Q32: What kind of metadata is available in the current source systems?A32: There are no metadata useful to optimize data load activity. New clarification added: Q10: What is the current stage and how UNOPS operates with sample data and reports?A10: Currently UNOPS has a set of reports based on raw data coming from different sources. Tools used by UNOPS are Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Additional reports will need to be created. Additional data will also need to be mapped, connected and integrated.Q11: What are the number of source tables from which data needs to be extracted from each database and the average number of fields in each table?A11: A representation and description of the data sources are presented into Annex (2): TARGET LOGICAL ARCHITECTURE and Annex (3): DATA SOURCES (additional details and specifications) of the TOR. At this stage it is not possible to identify the number of source tables from which data needs to be extracted since one of the activities to be executed in the context of this RFP is the definition of the definition of the Target Data Model (cfr. Par.4 pag.3 Activity A1).Q12: Data Is Structured, Semi structured or Unstructured?A12: There are different data sources and different set of data: Structured, Semi-structured or Unstructured.Q13: As per the scope of work mentioned in RFP document, this project include building a new structured Data warehouse and data flows. New clarification added: Q1: As per our understanding, the Dev/UAT/Production environment will be setup by UNOPS team and the vendor will access the same remotely for application development/testing etc. It would be more convenient and secured approach. Kindly confirm. In case vendor has to setup the development environment, do we need to factor the cost of software licenses in our financial proposal?R1: We do not confirm. Only the Production environment will be provided by UNOPS and the cost will be borne by UNOPS. As mentioned in the TOR (cfr. Par.2 pages 1-2):Additionally, the Service Provider shall rely on its own environments (i.e. development, testing, pre-production) and hosting services based on the SW components listed above, in order to start the implementation of the new centralized DWH. That is, the Service Provider should not rely on GDF hosting services and HW infrastructure during the implementation phase but should ensure the support for the migration of the developed new centralised DWH system to the server in production. The financial proposal will have to be provided using the form included in the tender documentation.Q2: What is the current overall data size in GB/TB?A2: This should be defined during the initial analysis phase at the beginning of the project (cfr. The selected service provider will need to have their own license for their own infrastructure.Q8: How many hours during the discovery frequency will be allotted for UNOPS to perform discoveries?A8: Question unclear. Please reformulate the question, define discovery frequency and provide details of activities part of the discovery frequency. UNOPS guarantees availability of staff during discovery.Q9: As stated in the RFP, there are several challenges and GDF is keen on creating a new centralized data warehouse (DWH) and establishing a new and improved data flow.
