SCOPE OF REQUIRED WORKS

Technical specifications for solar equipment related to the MSL stores The medical stores in Chipata, Mansa, Mpika and Choma will use solar systems as the main source for power. Power from the grid will be complementary and first back-up with the potential for sale of excess energy to the grid. A secondary back up with small scale generators will be available for crucial elements as cold rooms, security and IT, mainly at night. The same crucial elements of the store will also be wired as a priority to the battery backup systems. Note also that the battery systems can also use the grid for additional charging in case that is needed.

-For the Central Stores in Lusaka and the Hubs there will be a need for PV systems as follows: 

-For the Lusaka Store: 1. PV system with cabinet 350 kW and 20 % battery backup for night use.

-For the Chipata, Mansa and Mpika Hubs each: 2. PV system with cabinet 160 kW and 20 % backup for night use. 

For the Choma Hub: 3. PV system with cabinet 140 kW and 20 % backup for night use

Installation, warranty and monitoring and servicing for the first year will be offered standardly as part of the solution package included in the cost of goods.

Maintenance and monitoring packages for 2 year periods are offered as additional optional packages.

For maintenance and repair the supplier should cater for immediate replacement of non-functional equipment by functional equipment and repair to be done at the site of the maintenance provider.The equipment for repair/replacement will be used on a rotating basis.
