The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) invites expression of interest (EOI) from qualified companies for the provision of at least 2 fresh fruit and vegetable stores at UNOCA Compound, Jalalabad Road, Kabul, Afghanistan. The successful contractor is required to establish, operate, and maintain the stores inside UNOCA Compound. The stores shall be open six (6) days every week, and provide a wide variety of seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables, dry fruits, fresh bread, tofu and paneer, commencing from early season arrivals and also late season receipt or generally available in the local market. There should always be at least three to five varieties of qualifying staple food and products in each of the following category: Fresh fruit Fresh vegetable Dry Fruit The stores shall maintain a high state of cleanliness, neatly stacked products in a manner consistent with the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. The Contract shall be of an initial duration of two (2) years with optional extensions of three years (1+1+1 year) at the sole discretion of UNAMA. Please note that this notice is issued only to allow companies to express their interest. It does not constitute a solicitation. Submitting an EOI does not automatically guarantee that a company will be considered for receipt of the tender. UNAMA reserves the right to change or cancel its requirement at any time.
