The current contract for catering services in the Palais des Nations and its annexes expires on the 31st December 2018. In this context, the United Nations Office in Geneva (UNOG) intends to issue a request for proposal to establish a new Contract for the provision of catering services. The full exploitation of the retail outlets listed below will be entrusted to a company specialised in institutional catering for an initial period of three (3) years, with two (2) possible extensions of one (1) year each : - cafeteria of the Palais des Nations - external cafeteria of the Maison de l'Environnement - external cafeteria Giuseppe Motta 48 - external cafeteria of the Palais Wilson - the Delegate's restaurant (gastronomic food) - 4 snack-bars in the premises of the Palais des Nations - the pasta-corner - the banquet-cocktails reception service - the "grab and go" snack bar (after 2020) The United Nations is heavily involved in the protection of the environment. Therefore, the bidders' proposals will have to work on significantly reducing all negative environmental consequences that might arise from cooking, cleaning dishes and food waste management. In every step of the process, the bidders will be expected to support all existing and future initiatives related to the protection of the environment. The UNOG will provide all technical equipment and required for the performance of the services for the contract duration. The UNOG invites institutional catering companies interested in submitting a proposal, to make themselves known to the administration by submitting a response to this Request for Expression of Interest. The expressions of interest must be received before 6 pm (Geneva time), the 31st July 2017. All the responses will be considered strictly confidential.
