Supply and Installation of Structured Cabling System

1. The United Nations – Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (UN-MICT) intends to establish a contract with a company, to install a complete end-to-end, certified, structured cabling system to act as the medium for the transmission of voice, data and IF signals for container-based structures within its compound located in the Lakilaki area Arumeru District, Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania and office blocks at the United Nations Detention Facility (UNDF), located behind the Arusha Airport. 2. The requirements include the following: 2.1 Supply and installation of UTP cabling in the container-based structures in UN-MICT compound and in the two office floors at the UNDF. The UTP cabling shall conform, at a minimum, with a standard CAT6 structured cabling installation. 2.2 Supply and installation of fiber optic links between the Data Center and the container-based structures; and termination of these fiber optic links to the fiber patch panels at the Data Center and at the container-based structures. 2.3 Supply and installation of cable trunking in both locations (Lakilaki and UNDF) and 42U data cabinets in the container-based structures. 3. The complete details of the requirement will be included in the solicitation documents. No further details of the planned solicitation can be made available to vendors prior to issuance of the solicitation documents.
