Description
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking expressions of interest from companies interested in participating in a solicitation process to identify a suitable vendor for a long-term agreement (LTA) for Services for the Implementation of the Basic and Extended City Prosperity Index.
The City Prosperity Index (CPI) is an analysis, metric and public policy formulation tool, which is promoted by UN-Habitat in Latin America. This index offers cities the possibility to adopt indicators and baseline information. It also serves to define targets and goals that can support the formulation of evidence-based policies, including the definition of city visions and long term plans that are both ambitious and measurable.
The vendor will provide the following services:
1. Collect and systematize the required statistical information;
2. Collect and systematize the required cartographic information;
3. Measure CPI Indicators in its basic and/or extended version;
4. Validation of results.
Specific requirements include:
1. Implementation of Basic CPI. (Index calculation in its basic version)
Considerations:
a) Data gathering activities shall be included.
b) Calculation must be performed following specific UN guidelines.
2. Implementation of Extended CPI. (Index calculation in its extended version)
Considerations:
a) Data gathering activities shall be included.
b) Calculation must be performed following specific UN guidelines.
Following award of the long-term agreement, UN-Habitat will assign projects/assignments depending on the Organisation’s needs.
