Provision of a Group health Insurance Plan
It is anticipated that the International Criminal Court (hereafter referred to as the ICC) located in The Hague, The Netherlands, will shortly be issuing a solicitation for a provider of a Group Health Insurance Plan for the ICC. In this connection, the ICC is requesting expression of interest from qualified firms.
SUMMARY SCOPE OF WORK
- Group Health Insurance Plan (including After-Service Health Insurance)
“The purpose is to indemnify the insured persons, within the limits of the contract, for the reasonable and customary expenses resulting from medical and dental treatment; or attention necessitated through sickness, accident, maternity, voluntary termination of pregnancy, and for sterilization whether for therapeutic or non-therapeutic reasons. This contract also serves to guarantee the Insured Person an allowance when they are recognised by the Insurers as being in a state of dependence (“Long-term Care Coverage”); and, for former staff members, their spouses, dependent children, or survivors, an optional after-service continuation of previous active-service coverage in the Court’s group health insurance plan.”
- Service-Incurred Death and Disability Insurance
The purpose of this Policy is to provide medical, disability, and survivor benefits in case of death, injury or illness of an insured person, attributable to the performance of official duties on behalf of the Court.
- Non-Service Incurred Death and Disability Insurance
The purpose of this Policy is to provide benefits in case of death, injury or illness of an Insured Person, not attributable to the performance of official duties on behalf of the Court.
