New clarification added: 1.As per delivery timeline in the ITB units muts be dleivered DAP Bangui wihtin 12 weeks from the PO date. Since these are custom made units it will take 6-8 weeks to produce them then min 10-12 week sto deliver to DAP Bangui. Will it be possibel to extend teh delivery timelien to 18-20 weeks? Delivery time is changed to 14 weeks DAP Bangui2.The base of the storage vault must be constructed to have fork-lift pockets the same in dimension and placement of an ISO 9001 20ft, in dependency to the overall weight of the armoured container, fork-lift pockets according to ISO 1496-1 probably not possible to carry the container can you suggets alternatives? Why do you think the forklift will not be able to handle this container3.Due to your schedule of requirements I would like to know which size is necessary for the double door? We would replace the standard-container door by Saelzer Series 4 FB-7 double door-Please refer to the schedule of requirements4.Further on, I would like to know, which flooring do you prefer? Is standard wooden floor ok? Must the container floor also be protected/armoured? Must the container floor protected/armoured by steel or cement? No the floor does not need to be armored- Ciment will not be recommended5.The armoured container has the same protection (Level 1 according to NATO STANAG 4569) at the side-walls and for the roof.Due to the fire-resistance, we would use mineral wool (incombustible according to Euro class A1 fire resistance to DIN EN 13501-1). Do you have further requirements for the isolation of the container? No6.Do you have total weight requirements? Maximum 14 tonnes7.To achive required delivery timeline, can we suggest ready-made units that can satisfy all technical requirements except flooring and container size (i.e. steel flooring and 10ft)? No the container must be 20ft8.In tender there is a requirement of air conditioner but nothing mentioned about power system how AC will run. Could you please confirm, does it require any power source like generator to run AC. HVAC unit is no longer required. However, please ensure there is an air vent system installed to allow for air circulation in the container and to allow dangerous vapor to exit9.Under the delivery time it is stated : Bidder shall deliver the goods within 12 weeks DAP Bangui, Central African Republic after Contract signature-Delivery to Bangui takes 13-14 weeks and building of these containers will take 7-8 weeks. Is it possible to revise the delivery time? 1) Documents - Section I_Instructions to Bidders.docx: Is Bid Security required or not required for this award? Delivery is extended to 14 weeks DAP to Bangui, CAR10. Tech Requirement 4: The minimum dimensions of the double door are not specified. We currently assume that the double doors are to be a standard commercial door width, such as a 60 inch (nominal) wide door. The assumption is that the total width of the double door does not require to be the full width of the ISO container. We also assume that there is only one entryway, which is the double door, and that there is no secondary entry/exit as in other similar designs. Please confirm these assumptions are correct. The door width shoud be about 2 meter on the smaller side of the container11.Tech Requirements 7 & 9: Is there an expectation that the doors will have door bars in addition to the mortise locks, as found in similar ammunition container systems? Double door locking system- High security lock system adaptable to the door.12. Tech Requirement 10: Please confirm the requirement for 7mm thickness of paint, in many paint systems this thickness would increase the probability of chipping, or other paint problems related to maximum thickness of many paint systems. If the 7mm requirement is the minimum thickness does that specification include the thickness of the primer, or is the primer thickness in addition to the paint thickness? If the 7mm is in error or negotiable, is it acceptable to provide details of the paint and primer thicknesses that will provide the maximum known durability from common paint products as historically determined in our construction of steel containers as an alternative? The 7mm thickness of paint includes the primer.

New clarification added: Dear bidders,Kindly find below answers to your questions:1.Deadline as it is very tight leaving us too little time to prepare a compliant offer. The deadline for submission remains Wednesday, 7th December 2016 at 11:00 UTC2. Please advise the purpose of buying these container/end use of these container ? The containers are for ammunition storage3. If you're planning to use these containers for a long term basis & in a harsh weather condition then we would advise you to go for steel in place of 2" hardwood requested. But obviously price will much higher compared to the one you requested. Please refer to our schedule of requirements outlined in the bid documents.4. Please note the container requested falls under ITAR hence we might need a end user certificate stating the containers are bought by UN. No, the specifications outlined in our requirements do not fall under ITAR and does not require an end user certificate.5. Can we offer a containers with standard equivalent to UL 752 Level 5 like NATO AEP-55 STANAG 4569 level 2 category. Yes6. Would You like to have pitched roof to ensure long lasting utility? We can provide module unit structure using non-burning uretan insulation. Proposing to use here 50-140 mm insulation. Insulation layer is protected by metal sheets (3 mm) on both sides.
