Description
1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the electrical rewiring of approximately eleven accommodation buildings situated within OP-91 Sector 4, at Aglantzia and OP-08 Sector 1, at Kato Pyrgos in Cyprus. The requirement includes, but is not limited to the following: - supply and installation of meter room, new poles, manhole, overhead cables, underground cables, new main distribution boards and main add-on blocks; - supply and installation of new first protective devices and earth rods; - new electrical surfaced mounted installation. Supply and installation of new electrical equipment and lighting fittings; - supply and installation of Main Distribution Board (MDB) and Automatic Transaction Switch(ATS). - the provision of all necessary equipment (cables, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, trunking, light fittings, ceiling and wall fans, one 11m and one 13m wooden poles and stay rods). 2. The project also includes the removal of the existing main overhead cables and other materials (all cables and materials made reduntant as a result of the installations shall remain the property of UNFICYP). 3. Interested vendors shall have the opportunity to attend the site visit as part of the solicitation exercise. 4. In this regard UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercises. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest in the requirements by providing all relevant information including complete company details and experience profile using the attached Vendor Response Form, also available in our website www.unficyp.org. The UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. The UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process.
