The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), of P.O .Box 67578 Nairobi, invites suitably qualified firms to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in an upcoming competitive bidding exercise for the Design, Installation and Maintenance of new Air Conditioning Systems for UNON Server Rooms at UN Compound in Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya. The scope of the requirement shall include: assessment of existing rooms and equipment layout, identification of cooling deficiencies, proposing, designing, supply and installation of a new, independent state of art, Air conditioning system, to the two (2) existing server rooms and switch rooms, commissioning and tailored comprehensive post installation services such as ordinary and preventive maintenance, reliable 24/7/365 emergency service and corrective service, implementation of up-to-day best practices. In particular, the firm will be required to perform the following tasks: 1) Conduct site inspections to assess compliance of the existing Air Conditioning systems and controls in terms of functionality, reliability, redundancy, modularity, scalability, easily maintainability, monitoring and controlling.On-site Remote Assistance Transition Plan (RATP); 2) Identify deficiencies of the existing Air Conditioning System. 3) Provide a final design package with drawings, technical specifications, scope of work, calculations, schedule of works to implement the installations. 4) Supply and install the new Air Conditioning systems. 5) Undertake commissioning and final works inspections. 6) Provide Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance Manuals. 7) Provide Ordinary, preventive, corrective maintenance plan of the new installations (electrical and maintenance). 8) Offer Reliable 24/7/365 emergency response service. The complete detail of the requirement will be included in the tender document that will be issued to the pre-qualified bidders after this request for EOI is closed. The resultant contract shall be awarded for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for two additional consecutive one year periods (i.e 3+1+1).
