A1 The United Nations Procurement Division in New York (UN/PD) seeks expressions of interest (EOI) from reputable manufacturers or their authorised dealers / distributors of the below listed items for use in UN peacekeeping missions worldwide. The UN is reaching out for a company that shall provide the below items as a catalogue of Field Defence Stores. The intention is to award one or more contracts resulting from a solicitation that is yet to be issued, against which Missions may order the products. The contract's duration is likely to be initially for three years, plus UN's option to extend twice for a year each. A1a Concertina wires and ground locking pegs A1b Corrugated galvanised iron (CGI) sheets A1c Angle iron pickets A1d Burlap and polypropylene sandbags A1e Barbed and binding wire A2 IMPORTANT NOTE - Those of you who submitted completed EOI forms in response to our requests EOIKA11953/54/55 that were posted from 18-Dec-15 to 12-Jan-16 for three of the products listed above (A1a, A1b, A1c) need NOT re-submit an EOI in response to this request, as you were already added to the invitee list for the below described solicitation if you met the criteria listed in those three requests for EOI. A3 If and when issued (soon after the closing date of this request for EOI), the solicitation document (RFx) may include the following: A3.1 Detailed technical specifications, including drawings and warranty terms. The products must be (a) rapidly deployable; (b) of convenient size for packaging for ease in handling; and (c) environmentally friendly. A3.2 Forecasted quantities - not guaranteed A3.3 Delivery terms - normally FCA seaport(s), DAP-UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy) and DAP-UNRSCE, Entebbe (Uganda), INCOTERMS 2010 A3.4 Maximum delivery duration after receipt of order for each of the three terms in A3.3 A3.5 Table for bidders to indicate production capacity per month A3.6 Table for bidders to provide detailed packing scheme, quantity per pallet, quantity per 20' ISO sea container, with weight restriction of maximum nine (9) metric tonnes per 20' sea container A3.7 Evaluation criteria A3.8 All submissions in response to the RFx must be in English only A3.9 Bidders must accept UN General Conditions of Contract and terms and conditions of Form of Contract. A4 Manadatory requirements are likely to include the following: A4.1 Evidence of ISO 9001:2000 or national or international equivalent Quality Management certification, specifically for meeting physical specifications, testing performance, reliability and durability. A4.2 Evidence of ISO 14001:2004 or national or international equivalent Environmental Management System certification, specifically for meeting designs, manufacture of security/defence materials, environmental specifications and standards. A4.3 Evidence of certification for galvanisation, where applicable. A4.4 Evidence of experience in SIMILAR business for AT LEAST the last three (3) years. A4.5 Letters of reference from clients. A4.6 Evidence that the bidder is authorised by the manufacturer to participate in the solicitation, for offering the manufacturer's product(s).
