1. Background: 1.1 The UN-MICT is the successor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (“ICTY”) and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (“ICTR”) and was established by Security Council Resolution 1966 on 22 December 2010. It has two branches, Arusha and The Hague, which began functioning on 1 July 2012 and 1 July 2013 respectively. 1.2 The MICT Archives and Records Section (MARS) is leading a project to implement a full-scale electronic document and records management system (EDRMS) throughout the MICT as a strategy to establish good practice and comply with recordkeeping policies within the MICT. The decision was made by the MICT Registrar to adopt HP Records Manager 8 (HP RM8), the successor product to HP TRIM, as the EDRMS for the MICT. 1.3 The scope of the upgrade includes four existing datasets in the ICTY environment and the best option for the upgrade would be to do a new installation of HP RM8 in the new MICT Vblock environment, setup of existing configurations and migration of existing datasets.
