1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposal for the Provision of dedicated high-speed Internet for UNAMI Compound in Baghdad Green Zone, Iraq with the initial contract of 1 year and a possible extension for two (1+1) more years, subject to continuation of UNAMI mandate in Iraq, availability of funds and satisfactory performance by the prospective contractor(s) 2.0 UNAMI's requirement can be summarized as follows: 2.1 Provide internet access using the Iraqi fiber optic internet backbone provisioned last mile to UNAMI premises located in the Baghdad International Zone using last mile microwave! 2.2 Provide a guaranteed capacity throughput of 70mbps total capacity split between the 2 microwave systems 2.3 Provision the capacity on microwave equipment NOT operating on 2.4GHZ or 5.8GHZ due to interference 2.4 Have the ability to provision/activate the service within 7-14 days of contract signing! 3.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) with detailed specifications and SOW to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. 4.0 Please note the following: 4.1 This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal. 4.2 UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for an document. 4.3 UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
