PROVISION OF INTERNATIONAL COURIER SERVICES TO THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT NAIROBI, (UNON), GIGIRI
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites qualified contractors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the tender process for the International Courier Services.
Introduction: United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) of P.O. Box 67578 Nairobi seeks to engage the services of a company for the provision of Courier Mail Services to handle large volume of domestic and international mails sent out by UN Agencies in Nairobi.
UNON currently has a contract with a service provider to serve UNON, UNEP and UN-Habitat offices and other UN entities, which is due to expire early next year. As such, in accordance with the UN Regulations, Rules and Procedures, UNON invites proposals from qualified International Air Express Services companies with the capability to provide the services under a three-year contract with possible 1+1 years extension.
The forecasted annual volume in business amounts to approximately 3500 letters and parcels (16,000 KG of weight) each month. The services under this contract shall cover International Courier Mail services to all Common Service Participating UN agencies which have official mails to be delivered to major cities all over the world, especially those with proven services in North and South America, Western Asia & Far-East Asia, Southern and South-East Asia, African, Europe and the Caribbean.
The Contractor should be a fully accredited International Air Express Services company, familiar with the requirements of the United Nations as set herewith.
The Contractor should possess facilities, corporate governance policies, qualified management team and staff and should be ready to perform the desired services – International Courier Services.
Interested vendors may forward their Expressions of Interest (EOI) along with the signed vendor forms to cecilia.mzee@unon.org, with a copy to grace.macharia@unon.org. All EOI submissions should be sent via email, citing the EOI reference number and title in the subject line.
UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued.
Only Vendors which in UN's sole discrition are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
