Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Syria Programme, is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a contract for Restoration of the Bridge Linking the Eastern and Western Parts of Ar- Rastan City in Homs Governorate, Syria. The project involves restoring a bridge across the M5 highway in Ar-Rastan City. The bridge was identified as a priority under recovery plans for Homs Governorate to reconnect the city’s eastern and western parts, improve safety, and ensure safe, dignified access for pedestrians and wheelchair users. Its restoration will support recovery efforts, improve mobility, and promote social cohesion. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Removal of remaining bridge components • Installation of beams • Asphalting • Laying of sidewalk tiles • Laying of curbstone Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for the submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that are interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation process when issued. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Therefore, submitting a response to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
