PROVISION OF RENOVATION SERVICES FOR THE SERNIC OFFICES AND LABORATORY IN PEMBA, MOZAMBIQUE

1. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Regional Office for Eastern Africa (UNODC ROEA) hereby solicits Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified Contractor to provide professional construction and engineering services for provision of renovation services for the Serviço Nacional de Investigação Criminal (SERNIC) Offices and Laboratory in Pemba, Mozambique. 2. The renovation works shall include but not limited to: i. Renovating the existing building to repurpose the rooms into facilities for: Laboratory space for various types of forensic testing, offices for the SERNIC team, reception area, ICT room,ablutions and a conference room facility ii. Supply and installation of new hot-dip galvanised hot-rolled steel roof trusses and cold-formed steel purlins to replace existing roof iii. Construction of a new sewerage reticulation system including new septic tank and soakaway iv. Inspection, repairs and disinfection as necessary for existing subsurface water tank v. Installation of new exterior solar powered security lighting vi. Supply, installation and commissioning of a new 30m tall guyed tower at SERNIC Avenida da Marginal including the supply of the associated power supply and backup equipment; 3. Interested bidders must meet the following conditions: a. Bidder must have the requisite business registration certificates b. Bidder should not be listed on any restricted lists (such as World bank, or any other UN agency).
