PROVISION OF LABOUR AND MATERIALS FOR VARIOUS CONSTRUCTION WORKS AT THE MINUSMA TRANSIT CAMP IN ...

1 The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested and qualified companies wishing to be considered for inclusion in a possible bid invitation to be launched for the Provision of labour and materials for various construction works at the MINUSMA Transit Camp in Bamako, Mali.The selected Contractor shall furnish all labour, equipment, materials and incidentals necessary to complete the works to be detailed on the drawings and/or specified herein. The scope of the project shall include site preparation and construction of the following. 2.2.1 Slab type A, for dining facility level 1 & 2: Five (5) reinforced concrete slabs, each 200mm thick, and measuring 17m x 25m; 3.5m x 6m; 6m x 17m; 3.5m x 6m and 6m x 25m 2.2.2 Slab type B, for accommodation area: Eight (8) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slabs, each measuring 6.35m x 10.7m 2.2.3 Slab type C, for ablutions: One (1) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 7m x 15m 2.2.4 Slab type D, for water purification tents: One (1) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 6.35m x 10.7m 2.2.5 Slab type E, for water storage: One (1) 200mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 10m x 25m 2.2.6 Slab type G, for the welfare and training centre: Two (2) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slabs, each measuring 6.35m x 10.7m 2.2.7 Slab type H, for power plant: One (1) 200mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 7m x 25m 2.2.8 Slab type I, for entrance control: One (1) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 3m x 7m 2.2.9 Slab type J, for ablution: One (1) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 6m x 7m 2.2.10 Slab type K, for office tents: Four (4) 200mm thick reinforced concrete slabs, three of them measuring 10.7m x 6.7m and the fourth measuring 6.7m x 3.55m 2.2.11 Slab type M, for office containers: One (1) 200mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 19m x 28m 2.2.12 Slab type N, for NLD national area: One (1) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 15m x 20m 2.2.13 Slab type O, for antennas: Two (2) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slabs, each measuring 7m x 8m 2.2.14 Slab type P, for P-antenna: One (1) 150mm thick reinforced concrete slab measuring 15m x 15m 2.2.15 Concrete for three (3) Rub halls: For each rub hall, reinforced concrete for 24 stud columns measuring 0.2m x 0.2m x 0.9m deep; for a ring beam measuring 0.2m x 0.3m deep x 72m long; and for a floor slab measuring 24m x 12m x 125mm thick. The floor shall be reinforced with 5mm welded or tied mesh, and the concrete shall be trowelled smooth when still green (no additional screeding). In case of lack of availability of 5mm welded mesh, 6mm round bars shall be used, tied in mesh form, spaced 150 mm centre-to-centre 2.2.16 Block work for the plinth walls of the three (3) rub halls: 0.2m wide blocks to cover 30 square meters. The plinth walls shall be rendered on the outside. 2.2.17 Beam concrete for fence: 420 meters of reinforced concrete beam measuring 0.3m deep by 200mm thick 2.2.18 Concrete footings for fence posts: Plain concrete footings for 140 fence posts, each footing measuring 0.2m x 0.2m x 0.9m deep 2.2.19 Supply, fabrication and installation of galvanized iron poles of overall height 3.7 meters including a 500mm high ‘Y-fork’ welded on top of each post. To secure the required services, MINUSMA will undertake a competitive bidding exercise, by issuing a separate formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to all interested bidders and award will be made to the contractor, who demonstrates in their written submission to the RFP as having significant level of experience, ability and competence. This request for EOI does not constitute a solicitation. MINUSMA reserves the right in selecting the companies to participate in the bidding. MINUSMA also reserves the right to change or cancel any of this requirements at any time in the EOI and/or possible bid invitation process. Responding to this EOI does not guarantee that such company will be invited to tender.
