New extension

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:

In the context of the CFIT III project: Higher technical education in Africa for a technical and innovative workforce, the CFIT III project secretariat is seeking an organisation to carry out a capacity-development programme. This programme will contribute to:

  • Objective 1: strengthen Higher Education Institutions capacity to systematically develop curriculums that respond to the current and future demands on skills of the labour market.

  • Objective 2: support Higher Education Institutions in developing, refining, and/or scaling up student employability services to enhance career readiness and development through the establishment of career hubs.

The assignment aims to enhance the capacity of 12 selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to deliver quality higher technical education that meets evolving demands and prepares graduates for the transition to the labour market.

By aligning educational content with market requirements and providing robust employability services, the programme is expected to support HEIs in building flexible pathways from education to employment for the youth, equipping them with the skills and mindset necessary to navigate the current and future job market. Overall, it will contribute to the development of integrated, sustainable, inclusive and quality higher education systems that drives socioeconomic growth across the African continent
