Supply of Laboratory Equipment (Part XII: Distiller, Climate chamber, Rotary evaporator and Chiller for Rotary Evaporator) for the Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health (SES) of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

New clarification added: Q12:Please clarify if extension of the bid submission deadline is possible. The current deadline is too short to ensure a thorough selection of the best products for the needs. A12:The bid submission deadline has been exptended for 1 week from 19 August 2024 till 26 August 2024.

New clarification added: Q11: Reference is made to Lot #1 Distiller (25 liters per hour)，technical requirement line #5 :The equipment shall be able to produce water quality Type II for laboratory use:Water conductivity ≤ 2.5 µS/cm at 25°C;Total Organic Carbon < 50 µg/l; Bacteria < 20 cfu/100 ml.; Silica < 10 µg/l.; Pyrogen free."  Distiller does not have multi-layer filtration system, and the water quality treated neither by the distiller nor water purifier can meet the requirements stipulated under line # 5. Please clarify if  a water purifier or a distiller or both are required under this ITB?  A11:This requirement will be revised to meet proper characteristics of the distiller required. Please kindly refer to the updated ITB_2024_53065_Section_III_Returnable_Bidding_Forms_Form D_ Technical Bid Form that will be uploaded in the "Documents" section of the ITB.

New clarification added: Q10: Reference is made to Section IV: Draft Contract for Goods, ANNEX 3: Schedule of Requirements. Table 2 specifies that the goods must be delivered DPU Tashkent, Uzbekistan, within 130 calendar days. We kindly request an extension of the delivery time by an additional 30 days. This extension is necessary to allow the manufacturer sufficient time to conduct thorough testing of each climate chamber at the factory, ensuring that the specified "temperature range of -50°C to +150°C with an accuracy of +/-1°C or better" is fully met. A10: Considering low quantity of the item required and the timelines of the project , the delivery schedule will remain unchanged. 

New clarification added: Q9: Reference is made to the Lot #2:Climate chamber. Would you consider accepting a climate chamber with a single door that includes a viewing window? This design allows observation of the sample load without opening the main door. A single door with a viewing window is recommended for high-temperature applications to enhance safety and for low-temperature settings to prevent icing inside the chamber caused by humidified ambient air (that comes to inner chamber when door is open).  A9: ITB_2024_53065_Section_III_Returnable_Bidding_Forms_Form D_ Technical Bid Form will be updated to address this point and will be uploaded in the current ITB. Line 15 of the specification for Climate chamber will be revised and provided as follows 'Single main door with viewing window or duble door, inside glass and main'.

New clarification added: Q8: Reference is made to the Lot #2:Climate chamber. Would the customer consider accepting a climate chamber with a 228-liter inner chamber volume (it is less than 10% deviation)? The offered chamber would include an air jacket around the inner chamber, providing stable and uniform conditions. The total system volume would be 356 liters, combining the inner chamber and the air jacket, which houses the heating, cooling, and humidity control elements. This design ensures that samples are tested in a safe and stable environment, minimizing fluctuations and maximizing reliability.  A8: Requirements for effective volume of the climate chamber, stipulated in technical requirement line #5, have been specified by the beneficiary based on the needs, therefore no adaptations will be made in this regard. The bidder shall offer equipment with an inner chamber volume of 250L or greater to be considered substantially compliant.  

New clarification added: Q7: Reference is made to the Lot #2: Climate chamber. Would you consider accepting a climate chamber with a 3-phase voltage power supply? This adjustment will enable us to offer a more powerful unit that meets the requirement, as single-phase voltage power supply options are limited in capability. This change ensures the chamber will perform optimally, delivering the robust and reliable performance you need.  A7:ITB_2024_53065_Section_III_Returnable_Bidding_Forms_Form D_ Technical Bid Form will be updated to address this point and will be uploaded in the current ITB. The requirement for power supply will be revised as follows: "Three or single-phase power supply fitting with the country's standard"

New clarification added: Q6: Reference is made to the Lot #2:Climate chamber. Please clarify for what kind of application will this chamber be used, with such light intensity?  A6: As per beneficiary, the required climate chamber is intended to simulate environmental conditions for a variety of applications requiring controlled temperature, humidity and light intensity. Specifically, the climate chamber will be used for testing the stability of various products or materials under simulated conditions, which is crucial for understanding how some certain conditions affect their performance, preservation and degradation over time.

New clarification added: Q5: Reference is made to technical requirement for Item #2 of Lot #3: Chiller for Rotary Evaporator stipulated in line # 7: Safety release valve / bypass. This machine is used with rotary evaporator, this machine is open type, working by circulating motor to circulate liquid, there is no pressure, so the machine has no pressure relief valve.  A5: ITB_2024_53065_Section_III_Returnable_Bidding_Forms_Form D_ Technical Bid Form will be updated to address this point and will be uploaded in the current ITB. The technical requirement line #7 will be deleted.

New clarification added: Q4: Reference is made to the following Lot #2 technical requirement lines stipulated in the Form D:Technical bid form :#11. Temperature range from -50°C  to +150° C or wider, accuracy +/-1°C or higher; #12. Temperature rise rate of the not less than 3 °C /min or at least 100°C in 30 min;  #15. Humidity range from 20% to 95% or wider. Accuracy of at least +/-3% or better; #16. Double door, inside glass and main; #17. Maximum light intensity within the range of not less than: from 6000 lux to 12000 lux. Please consider amending above mentioned requirements as they are contradicting each other. Please confirm which kind of equipment is required: High and Low Temperature Test Chamber or Climate chamber? If it is Climate chamber then technical requirements # 11, #12 and #15 are inappropriate as no climate chamber can meet these requirements. If it is High and Low Temperature Test Chamber then #16 and #17 are not applicable, because the high and low temprature do not allow the application of light. And double door must be changed into single door, because the glass door cannot stand -50°C .As a result, please confirm what kind of equipment do you want and change the technical requirements accordingly.  A4: Technical requirement lines #11,#12 and #15 of Lot #2 will remain unchanged as the market research revealed multiple models which conform with these requirements. Line #16 will be revised and provided as follows 'Single main door with viewing window or duble door, inside glass and main'. Line 17 will remain unchanged as market research revealed multiple models which conforms with the requirement. 

New clarification added: Q3: Reference is made to the technical requirement line #5 of Lot 1 Distiller (25 liters per hour) in ITB_2024_53065_Section_III_Returnable_Bidding_Forms_Form D_ Technical Bid Form "The equipment shall be able to produce water quality Type II for laboratory use:..." .  Please clarify if the required distiller has to produce Type II water, as Type II water is bidistilled water and distiller produces Type III water.  A3:ITB_2024_53065_Section_III_Returnable_Bidding_Forms_Form D_ Technical Bid Form will be updated to address this point and will be uploaded in the Documents section of the ITB.

New clarification added: Q2: Reference is made to Lot #3, Item #1, technical requirement line #19: "Glass upright refrigerator with cooling surface from 1200cm2 to 1800cm2 - not less than 2 pcs". Please clarify if "glass upright refrigerator" refers to upright condenser?  A2: Yes, "glass upright refrigerator" refers to upright condenser.

New clarification added: Q1:Regarding Lot 3,# Item2: Chiller for Rotary Evaporator (must be compatible with rotary evaporator Lot 3 item 1 included to this ITB), considering the quantity of evaporators (Lot #3,Item #1) and chillers (Lot #3, Item #2) are 89 pcs and 15 pcs respectively, could you clarify if the remaining 74 pcs of item #1 need to be equipped with item #2 Chiller? A1: Only 15 chillers (Lot #3, Item #2) compatible with Rotary evaporator stipulated in Lot #3 Item #2 have to be offered. The remaining 74 pcs of rotary evaporators does not require chillers.
