Description
In 2024, the United Nations (UN) Common Services in Kenya transitioned to the Common Back Office (CBO) to align its service provision for enhanced efficiency. As part of this transition, UNON was selected as the service provider for the provision of procurement services for common goods and services to more than fifteen UN agencies in Kenya. In light of the background provided above, the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites suitably qualified firms to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for Provision of Digital Taxi Services to United Nations Office at Nairobi and other agencies in the UN Complex in Nairobi. Subsequent to the closing date of this request for EOI, UNON anticipates to issue a formal solicitation document requesting the potential bidders who will express their interests in response to this REOI, to submit proposals in accordance with the requirements that will be fully specified in the solicitation document including the complete details of the relevant company qualification requirements. The contract resulting from the intended tender process shall be subject to an implementation period of three years with possibility to extend for two additional periods of 1 year each (3+1+1) subject to the contractors’ performance. The scope of the requirement will include but will not be limited to provision of the services listed below: - Digital Taxi transport services deploying ‘Real-time’ technology - Make available an average of 30 taxis per day on ad-hoc basis - Mainly, the taxis will be used during official working hours. However staff needs during weekends, holidays and evenings shall be catered for. - The digital taxi services will generally be required in Nairobi. However, there may be instances where the services will be required in other major towns like in Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, etc. In such instances, the services shall be made able in those towns. Complete details of the requirement will be provided in the tender documents that will be issued to the potential bidders after this request for EOI is closed.
