Description
A. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) intends to establish a Long term Agreement (LTA)/ Contract for the Provision of Security Services for UNIFIL House Baabda (Mount Lebanon) for Initial period of One (1) Year with possible extension for an additional Four (1) One-Year periods (1+1+1+1 Year). B. In this regards, the successful Contractor shall ensure the following services: 1- Ensure security services for UNIFIL House located in Baabda (Mount Lebanon), including un-armed security guards and equipment 7 days/24 hours/day including weekends and holidays. 2- Provide all necessary personnel, supervision and other equipment, materials, consumables and supplies to ensure the fulfillment of the obligations. 3- The Contractor shall provide staffs who are fully qualified security guards who have Police, Military, or other Security related experience. Additionally, these staffs shall possess training certificates for, but not limited to the following: counter-surveillance training, CCTV Systems monitoring, incident reporting, firefighting, first aid and X-ray Machine Screening. These security guards should understand and communicate, verbally and written, in both English and Arabic. 4- Conduct daily schedule regulations ground control inside and outside UNIFIL premises. 5- Enforcing parking regulations, 6- Reporting any security incident, 7- Inspecting all vehicles accessing UNIFIL House, 8- Ensure staff uniform, materials and tools (such as walkies-talkies, protection sticks, mirrors for under vehicles inspection, hand-held metal detectors, etc..). 9- In addition, the Contractor shall comply with following: a- Provide all services required by its personnel in accordance with Local Labor Law, b- Adhere with the instructions received from UNIFIL Security Section, to ensure the access control duties. c- Detect any risk of fires or presence of any suspected presence of bomb / explosive threats. d- Other tasks to be detailed in the Scope of Work. C.For the purpose of establishing a Contract, UNIFIL will undertake a competitive bidding exercise in the future and consider inviting those companies that have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNIFIL’s requirement. Please note, this is not an invitation for submission of a price offer. D. For this requirement vendors are recommended to regisiter at UNGM Level 2. Note: Those companies not registered with United Nations Global Marketplace (UMGM) cannot be included in the List of Invitees. Registration with UNGM (WWW.UNGM.ORG) is free of charge and mandatory for all companies wishing to participate in the UN solicitations.
