New clarification added: Question 14: The Form E (Joint Venture Partner Information Form) should not be mandatory? Answer: Please note that the Form E (Joint Venture Partner Information Form) is a mandatory requirement if the applicant has a joint venture partner. If there is no joint venture partner, the Form E is not required.

New clarification added: Question 13:Lot 6, It shows a lifting capacity of 15 tons, would you accept a lifting capacity of 14 tons as 14 Tons appears to be the maximum for this size of truck.Answer: Please refer to the RFQ conditions and technical specifications and BoQ.

New clarification added: Question 12: First question :In Lot 6 : Technical requirements item 13 it is mentioned that :INSPECTION AND TESTS. The supplier shall ensure that the goods are inspected at the manufacturer by a competent third-party inspector.whereas, it is not mentioned in the other Lots , is this condition apply solely for Lot 6 or for all LotsAnswer: Answer:Please refer to the RFQ conditions and technical specifications and BoQ. Second question In General Requiremen for all Lots there is an item 12) Final testing/inspection shall be done in the destination place as specifiedWho will take over the mission of inspection , is it the supplier , end user or specialized third party.Answer: In addition to the RFQ conditions and mentioned test ,UNOPS reserves the right to inspect and/or test any or all of the goods, at the supplier's own expense, to verify their conformity to the specifications.

New clarification added: Question 11: Please note that Tier 4 & Tier 5 engines don’t work efferently in the Middel East as it requires low sulphur fuel which is not available in the middle east and especially in Yemen. Hence, all manufacturers are selling T3 and below in the middle east. Can we supply emissions T3 as the low sulphur fuel is not available in Yemen?Answer:Please refer to the RFQ conditions and technical specifications and BoQ.

New clarification added: Question 8: In Schedule of Requirements, you stated that "All standard and special tools kit and cleaning/lubrication materials for the unit according to manufacturer recommendation and required for operation and maintenance of the above items shall be included in the offer." This requirement is not mentioned in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and will impact the price of the equipment. Can you please provide more details on what you mean by standard and special tools? This can vary from company to company and from each professional point of view, so it's not a common request. We would appreciate if you also add it to the BOQ and provide additional details.Answer: Please refer to the RFQ conditions and technical specifications and BoQ.Question 9: We would like to ask for extending the Time line for bidding, in order to be able to meet the deadline specified for the submission, as the time is not enough.Answer: Kindly note that we cannot extend more , as the tender advertisement duration is sufficient , and this case is under an emergency procurement process.Question 10: There are a possible error/mistake in the tender documents for Lot 6 6x4 Truck-Mounted Crane Of 15 Ton. New clarification added: Question 3: When this equipment and trucks are entered from the Yemeni customs ports, will a letter be issued from the United Nations office informing them that they are exempted and do not bear any customs duties?Answer: Yes, an exemption approval will be sent to the relevant entry port, however, please note that it's quite a lengthy process that requires prior coordination between the supplier and UNOPS and early submission of the correct and consistent shipping documents to ensure the exemption process is concluded before shipment arrival.

New clarification added: Question 2: Kindly please advise if it is acceptable to offer only for part of the scope of work? We would like to present our offer only for the inspection part of the work. We can also provide inspection at the manufacturer if required. Answer: Kindly note that bidders shall be allowed to quote prices for one or more lots identified in this tender. However, bidders must offer 100% of the items specified for each lot and to 100% of the quantities specified for each item of a lot. Evaluation will be done per lot. Please refer to the RFQ - Particulars.
