Objective of the consultancy:
The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify qualified experts to 1) review the current armamentarium of tools available for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of HIV for different populations, and 2) conduct a landscaping exercise to explore the pipeline of promising medicines and technologies that could present optimal alternatives to, or be used in combination with, the current standard of care for PLHIV, where outstanding gaps exist, considering the need to enable the provision of person-centered care in LMICs. Consideration of the potential impact and access barriers to the different tools is required.
Qualification of Firm and Consultants:
The successful bidder will assemble a small team of experts that can support the works required above. The organization/consultancy firm and proposed team shall have expertise in the following:
Essential
1. Extensive expertise and knowledge of the evolution of the epidemiology of HIV, as well as in-depth knowledge of HIV diagnosis, prevention and treatment in LMICs
2. Extensive knowledge of evolution of the HIV diagnosis, prevention, treatment landscape, and associated clinical research and drug and health product development initiatives
3. Extensive experience in and knowledge of health systems and novel product introduction in LMICs
4. Extensive expertise in impact and scenario modelling or possibility to subcontract concrete modelling
5. Extensive experience conducting landscaping work for global health actors or the private sector
6. Extensive experience writing technical reports for public dissemination, with a proven capacity to translate complex technical content into a simple narrative and key messages
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of the global pharmaceutical and diagnostics manufacturing sectors as well as strong network with key global health players in the HIV arena.
