New clarification added: Dear Bidder,Please refer to the UNOPS responses to the requested clarifications in "Bold".Q1, On the One side you are saying that " No Nationalities are excluded from submitting a bid" then why it is asking for "Bidder should be in the business of manufacturing / supplying the Power Generators as specified in the ‘Schedule of requirement’ during the last 3 (three ) years in Sri Lanka, prior to bid opening."We are in business of supplying the Generator and we have alreeady supplied and installed the Diesel Generator to FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANISATION OF UNITED NATIONS at ZIMBABWE and many private Firms but we haven't supplied one in Srilanka. So again request you to confirm whether we can participate in this Bid or not ? For Installation and service support will be provided through Local service agency. Will you accept this or not ?A1. its because of the Customs clearance as the end user is Unable to clear the goods from Customs upon arrival so we are looking for suppliers who have a local agent who can clear and deliver the goods to the end user.

Again reminding for clarification on - As per your Bid Documents it says "Bidder should be in the business of manufacturing / supplying the Power Generators as specified in the ‘Schedule of requirement’ during the last 3 (three ) years in Sri Lanka, prior to bid opening."Can the International Bidder participate in this bid or not ? If Internationa lbidder is providing the Local support through his authorised Local service agent ? Please confirm the above asapA1 : Any bidders can participate the bidding who have satisfied the below 1.Bidder should be legally registered in their respective country and have a valid license and Bidder must have a Local Agent in Sri Lanka to ensure after sales services. Also, local agent should have a valid business registration in Sri Lanka, 2. Bidder should be in the business of manufacturing / supplying the Power Generators as specified in the ‘Schedule of requirement’ during the last 3 (three ) years in Sri Lanka, prior to bid opening.
