Description
The United Nations Procurement Division will be requesting proposals for Optical Satellite Imagery on behalf of the the United Nations Department of Field Support, Cartographic Section. Based on the current demand for high and medium resolution optical satellite imagery by the UN missions and UN offices to support their mandate and operational needs, the organisation would be seeking proposals which should be compliant with a geometric resolution (aka ground sampling distance, GSD) of 10 meters or better. High resolution optical satellite imagery is required to provide basic and current geographic information in a timely manner over an area of interest (AOI) in global UN operations. Medium resolution optical satellite imagery is required to be used for feature extraction for topographical mapping, and as a basis for terrain analysis on a large area.
