Description
1. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) through its Regional Office for Central America and the Caribbean (ROPAN) is executing a global project for the Strengthening of Governmental Institutions identified as Project GLOG80: Container Control Program. Within the framework of this Project, Haiti is the beneficiary of different technical material and equipment in order to expand the program to the ports in the country. Within the framework of this process, UNODC may require the purchase of a non-intrusive and specialized drug detection equipment to scan cargo and containers. 2. Due to the above, UNODC may require the supply and delivery of up to two (2) self-propelled mobile scanning equipment (truck + scanner, both new and unused) to be used by the Container Control Program (CCP) in Haiti to combat illicit traffic, any type of product that can be introduced, exported or transferred in the ports and other places where the units and agencies belonging to the program operate. 3. The imaging system (scanner) should meet the following requirements: a. Produce the image of the load by combining a source of rays that comes from a generator; b. Allow a visual differentiation between organic and inorganic matter by reproducing an image; c. Perform at least a bidirectional scanning process. 4. Further, interested Bidders should note that the supplier may be required to provide the following: a. After-sales services for the scanner equipment and the vehicle such as: warranty, preventive and corrective maintenance, supply and delivery of spare parts in case they are necessary or required. b. On-site technical support and on the handling of the offered equipment (scanner + vehicle). c. Should be authorized / certified distributor of the offered brand and that it is authorized offer maintenance service in the Republic of Haiti or the the Dominican Republic. d. Delivery to final destination on the basis of DAP – Haiti (Incoterms 2020). 5. Vendors should note that this document is not an Invitation To Bid (ITB). The purpose of this document is to identify companies that would be interested in participating in the tender when/if it is issued and if they are invited to the tender handled by UNODC. It is important to mention that full requirements and specifications will be found within the ITB document. This document will include complete instructions for the submission of bids, technical specifications, and all technical documents to define the scope of the requirement.
